(From John Vighetto)
I
wanted to thank everyone who attended last night’s meeting. I think the
ideas that were put on the whiteboard from your suggestions for future
presentations were great ideas,
and I hope to help in having to get some of these presenters.
Thank
you Harold for stepping up and accepting the challenge to be the next
victim (I mean user group leader!) for our group. I’m sure that you’ll
do great; especially now
that we have tentative committees setup to help out. I will definitely
help out in whatever capacity you feel I can.
I
want to sincerely thank everyone who pitched in for my thank you card
from the group. I was very pleasantly surprised at the generosity and
gratitude displayed. I’m truly
humbled. Thank you all once again!
Special thanks to Jen for continuing to host our user group meetings. Can’t thank you enough!
Check
back on the website soon. It will be changing, and we will need
everyone who still wishes to be included in the Google Groups email
thread to please register; otherwise
you will be removed from the existing member list.
Regards,
John Vighetto

Last night i mentioned that one of the other groups i belong to will be meeting this Saturday at the Broward main library.
If you'd like to come to the meeting, here is the information for the group: HackMiami.org - http://hackmiami.org/2017/ 01/03/01-14-2017-first- meeting-of-the-year/
They also have a Meetup.com group that you can join and see all of the meeting information as well.
Even
if you don't want to join the group, you should come in and check out
the Creation Station at the Library. It's like nothing you've ever seen
before! (well, some of you have seen better, i'm sure... but it's
pretty darn impressive!)
should you decide to come on Saturday
- park in the parking garage across the street from the library. it is
1.50 per hour or something but it is covered and it is cheaper than the
surrounding parking - unless you just want to walk from somewhere far
far away that has free parking? also, we are in the creation station on
the first floor - park in the garage, pay the meter, put the ticket
back in your car, take the walkway over the street on the 2nd floor,
down the escalator, turn left and go to the left corner.
Adam
- per our discussion, just let me know which email address you'd like
to use and i can have B0tOrn0t send you and invite for the Slack group.
There are a few Pi enthusiasts there that would probably love the
project you were describing... and i have to say that i'd really like to
do one of those as well. That could be the first project that we work
on. :)

And a few slides in the PHOTO ESSAY that you don't want to miss! Sorry, no pic's from the super - fabulous MAM! (And if you missed that, you really blew it ! )

This is a major networking opportunity. It's on a Saturday & no admission. Lots of opportunities.
